Chef Christian Petersen Fights for Life After Health Crisis in Argentina

Buenos Aires, December 19 (NA) – Chef Christian Petersen, popularly known for being a judge on 'El gran premio de la cocina', fell ill during a trip to Southern Argentina and has been in the intensive care unit of the Ramón Carrillo Hospital in San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, for a week. According to journalist Sebastián Ciuffolotti, speaking on 'Tarde o Temprano', the health episode occurred just before starting the trek to the Lanín volcano, specifically at the base. Chef Christian Petersen is fighting for his life. The journalist stated there is no 'official' information about the chef's health, as there is a blackout due to the delicate situation at the exclusive request of his family. Along the same lines, his sources indicate that he is in critical condition with a reserved prognosis. According to the Argentine News Agency, the 56-year-old chef 'is suffering from multi-organ failure'. 'The toxicology test would have been positive, this is the first thing we were informed from inside the hospital, always speaking unofficially. The family has wanted to prevent any details of what was happening from coming out,' he reported. He also denied that the chef has shown any health improvement during the seven days of hospitalization, so a transfer to Buenos Aires is currently ruled out: 'The situation is desperate,' he concluded. Apparently, Christian had presented himself for the excursion with atypical behavior for a common person: 'He arrived saying phrases that didn't make much sense. As for whether it could have been something he took, and that it showed up in the toxicology test, we have confirmation of what was found, one of the many issues'. He also reiterated that no more medical reports will be released 'at the family's request'.
